Warehouse Order Picker

Adecco is currently hiring Order Pickers for a full-time Temporary-to-Permanent opportunity in Debert, NS. As an Order Picker, you'll play a key role in a busy grocery distribution warehouse. Using a voice-directed headset system and an electric pallet truck, you'll travel throughout the warehouse selecting products and building customer orders. This is a physically active role that requires accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety.

• Pay Rate: $20.05/hour

• Location: Debert, NS

• Schedule: Temporary to Permanent | Full-time

• Shifts: Monday to Sunday | 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate an electric pallet truck throughout the warehouse (training provided)

• Use a voice-picking headset system to receive order assignments and product locations

• Travel through warehouse aisles with an empty pallet to pick customer orders

• Accurately locate and select grocery products using coded inventory locations

• Manually lift and place boxed grocery items onto pallets

• Build customer orders while meeting productivity and accuracy targets

• Deliver completed pallets to designated drop-off areas for further processing

• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Report damages, inventory discrepancies, and safety concerns to supervisors

• Work collaboratively with team members to support daily warehouse operations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in order picking, warehousing, logistics, distribution, or material handling is considered an asset

• Ability to learn and safely operate an electric pallet truck

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, productivity-focused environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy

• Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, and move products throughout the shift

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks for extended periods

• Ability to follow verbal instructions through a headset system

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused with a strong work ethic

• Flexible to work a rotating schedule, including evenings and weekends

• Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada.
