Warehouse Associate

Adecco is currently hiring Order Pickers for full-time temporary opportunities in Middleton, NS. This active warehouse role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced distribution environment, staying on the move throughout their shift, and meeting productivity goals.

As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be selecting grocery products throughout the warehouse using a voice-guided headset system while operating an electric pallet truck. You'll travel through warehouse aisles with an empty pallet, receive product locations through your headset, and manually pick and load boxed grocery items onto your pallet. Once an order is complete, you'll deliver the pallet to a designated drop-off location before starting the next order. Full training on pallet truck operation will be provided.

• Pay rate: $18/hour

• Location: Middleton, NS

• Shifts: Monday - Sunday | 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM

• Job type: Temporary to Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate an electric pallet truck throughout the warehouse (training provided)

• Use a voice-picking headset system to receive order instructions and product locations

• Accurately pick grocery products based on assigned customer orders

• Manually lift and place boxed grocery items onto pallets

• Navigate warehouse aisles using coded inventory locations

• Transport completed pallets to designated drop-off areas for further processing

• Meet daily productivity, accuracy, and performance targets

• Follow established warehouse safety procedures and company policies

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or safety concerns to supervisors

• Work collaboratively with team members to support warehouse operations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or previous warehouse experience preferred

• Experience in warehouse order picking, distribution, logistics, grocery warehousing, or material handling is an asset

• Ability to learn and safely operate an electric pallet truck

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, productivity-driven warehouse environment

• Ability to repeatedly lift and move products weighing between 25 to 50 lbs.

• Capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing physical tasks throughout the shift

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy

• Ability to follow verbal instructions delivered through a headset system

• Strong safety awareness around people, equipment, and warehouse traffic

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
