Test Technician - Days

Adecco is currently hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Test Technician / Electronics Assembly Technician for a leading aerospace and electronics manufacturing facility in Mississauga, ON. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in electronic assembly, product testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and manufacturing who enjoy hands-on technical work in a quality-driven environment.

As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and inspecting electronic and mechanical products to ensure they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced aerospace and electronic systems while developing your technical expertise in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Please Note: This position requires eligibility for Canada's Controlled Goods Program (CGP) security clearance. Applicants must be Canadian Citizens.

• Pay rate: $23.50/hour

• Shifts: Monday to Friday | Days shifts available | 7:00am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Assemble aerospace, electronic, and mechanical components according to engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and work instructions

• Perform functional testing, calibration, and verification of electronic and mechanical assemblies

• Troubleshoot electronic systems and components to identify and resolve defects down to the component level

• Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing and testing process to ensure compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory standards

• Interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and test procedures

• Operate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment safely and effectively

• Document test results, inspection findings, repairs, modifications, and production records accurately

• Support preventative maintenance activities, equipment checks, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes

• Maintain compliance with all safety, ESD, quality, housekeeping, and manufacturing procedures

• Meet production schedules while maintaining the highest levels of quality and accuracy

• Assist with additional production and technical duties as required to support operational objectives

Qualifications and Skills:

• College Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or a related technical field

• Minimum 2 years of experience in electronics assembly, electronic manufacturing, testing, or technical production environments

• Experience performing functional testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies

• Ability to troubleshoot electronic components and systems to the component level

• Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power electronics, and manufacturing test processes

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical documents, and work instructions

• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

• Flexibility to work overtime, alternate shifts, or occasional weekends as business needs require

• Must successfully obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen

• Aerospace manufacturing experience

• Electronic board assembly experience

• Component-level diagnostic and repair experience

• Knowledge of regulated manufacturing environments

• Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and electronic test equipment

• Understanding of quality systems, inspection procedures, and root cause analysis

• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
