Order Pickers - Afternoons

Adecco is currently hiring Order Pickers for a full-time temporary to permanent opportunity in Oromocto, NB. Join a fast-paced grocery distribution environment where you'll stay active throughout your shift, operate pallet trucks, and play a key role in keeping customer orders moving efficiently.

This position is ideal for reliable, hardworking individuals who enjoy physical work and thrive in a warehouse setting. As an Order Picker, you will use a voice-directed headset system to receive picking instructions, operate an electric pallet truck, and accurately select grocery products throughout the warehouse. Full training on pallet truck operation will be provided.

• Pay rate: $19.30/hour

• Location: Oromocto, NB

• Shifts: Sunday to Friday | 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (Saturday and one additional day off (to be determined)

• Important: Must be available to work Sundays.

• Job type: Temporary to Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate an electric pallet truck throughout the warehouse (training provided)

• Use a voice-picking headset system to receive order assignments and product locations

• Travel through warehouse aisles with an empty pallet to pick customer orders

• Accurately locate and select grocery products using coded inventory locations

• Manually lift and place boxed grocery items onto pallets

• Transport completed pallets to designated drop-off areas for processing

• Consistently meet productivity, accuracy, and performance targets

• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or safety concerns to supervisors

• Work collaboratively with team members to support daily warehouse operations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or previous warehouse experience preferred

• Experience in order picking, warehouse operations, grocery distribution, logistics, or material handling is an asset

• Ability to learn and safely operate an electric pallet truck

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, productivity-focused warehouse environment

• Ability to repeatedly lift and move products weighing 25-50 lbs.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy

• Ability to follow verbal instructions through a headset system

• Strong safety awareness when working around warehouse equipment and moving vehicles

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
