Adecco is currently recruiting experienced TIG Welders for an established manufacturing operation based in Nowra.

This is a hands-on workshop position suited to a capable TIG Welder who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. You’ll be working as part of a production team manufacturing stainless-steel products to precise specifications and production schedules.

The position involves considerably more than simply laying welds: preparation, alignment, finishing, grinding, inspection and general workshop duties all form part of the role.



Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality TIG welding to precise specifications
  • Shape and bend metal sections and pipe using hand and machine tools
  • Align components using hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Join metal sections using appropriate welding and fabrication techniques
  • Clean, polish and finish completed products
  • File, grind and smooth completed welds
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure weld quality
  • Complete grinding and product clean-up as required
  • Safely operate power tools and general metal-shop equipment
  • Work to production schedules and order requirements
  • Assist with general workshop duties
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and the site's Quality Management System
  • Work closely with the wider production team to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time


    • Your Profile

    To be successful, you’ll ideally bring:

    • Demonstrated TIG welding experience, ideally within stainless-steel manufacturing/fabrication
    • Strong knowledge of general welding and metal-shop tools and equipment
    • Ability to accurately use hand and power tools
    • Good measuring, alignment and fabrication skills
    • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
    • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
    • Ability to follow instructions, specifications and established production processes
    • Practical problem-solving ability
    • Reliable, self-motivated and team-oriented approach
    • Ability to undertake repetitive manual work and regularly lift heavier items
