Stores/Forklift Operator

Our client is a well-established and respected building supplies business servicing trade and commercial customers across Newcastle.

Due to continued growth they are seeking a reliable and hardworking Storeperson/Forklift Operator to join their warehouse team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work takes pride in maintaining a safe workplace and thrives in a busy warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operating forklifts to move stock throughout the warehouse and yard
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Hand loading and unloading building products
• Picking and packing customer orders
• Receiving and checking incoming stock
• Assisting customers and drivers with collections
• Maintaining accurate inventory and stock control
• General warehouse and yard housekeeping

Your Profile

• Current LF Forklift Licence
• Previous warehouse, stores or logistics experience
• Experience loading and unloading trucks
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive manual handling tasks
• Reliable work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Reliable transport to and from work

• $35.45 per hour casual rate
• Immediate start available
