Recycling Sorter

We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Recycling Pickers / Sorters to join a busy recycling facility in Seaford Heights.

Working within a modern recycling plant, you will be responsible for manually sorting recyclable materials, removing contamination from conveyor lines and helping keep the facility clean, safe and running efficiently.

Responsibilities

Sort recyclable materials moving along conveyor lines

Identify and remove incorrect or contaminated materials

Monitor recycling and sorting lines during operation

Assist with safely clearing minor blockages where required

Perform general cleaning and housekeeping around the facility

Sweep, hose and clean sorting and processing areas

Remove waste and debris from operational areas

Report equipment faults, hazards or safety concerns to supervisors

Assist with general labouring and operational duties as required

Follow all site safety procedures and wear required PPE

Your Profile

Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle – essential

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on work

Physically fit and able to work on your feet throughout the shift

Comfortable working around recycling materials, machinery, noise and dust

Good safety awareness and ability to follow instructions

Able to work effectively as part of a team

Previous recycling, process work, warehouse, production, labouring or waste-management experience is advantageous but not essential

This is a hands-on role within an industrial recycling facility. You will be working as part of a team responsible for ensuring recyclable materials are correctly sorted and contaminants are removed before materials continue through the processing plant.
