We are seeking an experienced System Engineering Project Manager (SEPM) to lead complex software, firmware, and system development programs across cross-functional engineering teams.

In this role, you will serve as the integration lead across Software, Firmware, BIOS, Hardware, Validation, Manufacturing, Product Management, and ODM/OEM engineering organizations to ensure successful product development and delivery. You will drive program execution from concept through launch, manage dependencies and risks, coordinate global stakeholders, and ensure products are delivered on schedule with the highest quality standards.

【Responsibilities】

Program & Project Leadership

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of software and system engineering programs.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and delivery commitments.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, issues, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Own software and firmware release readiness throughout NPI (New Product Introduction) milestones.
• Drive execution for system build activities, factory image readiness, software targeting, and release planning.
• Coordinate issue triage, root cause analysis, and mitigation planning during product development.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are aligned with product milestones and manufacturing schedules.
• Lead cross-functional program reviews, status meetings, and executive communications.
• Provide regular project status updates and recommendations to senior leadership.

Cross-Functional Program Management

Partner closely with teams across:

• Software Engineering
• Firmware Engineering
• Hardware Engineering
• Validation & Quality Assurance
• Product Management
• Manufacturing Operations
• ODM/OEM Partners and Suppliers

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
• Facilitating effective decision-making and issue resolution.
• Managing dependencies and ensuring seamless execution across organizations.

ODM/OEM Partner Management

• Manage engagement models and program execution with ODM/OEM partners.
• Review project deliverables, schedules, quality metrics, and readiness milestones.
• Establish and govern RACI models, Statements of Work (SOW), and milestone reviews.
• Collaborate with ODM SEPM counterparts to drive accountability and execution excellence.
• Ensure external partners meet quality, cost, and schedule commitments.

Technical & Engineering Leadership

• Provide technical leadership and systems-level guidance to engineering teams.
• Support architecture discussions and key technical decisions.
• Oversee software development activities across design, implementation, testing, integration, and release phases.
• Ensure compliance with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and engineering best practices.
• Facilitate resolution of complex technical and program challenges.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure engineering activities comply with development standards and quality requirements.
• Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Drive quality objectives and release readiness before product launch.
• Support system integration testing, validation, and overall product readiness.

【Candidate Profile】

Education

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in one of the following fields:

• Computer Science
• Computer Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Software Engineering
• Information Technology
• Related Engineering Discipline

Experience

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of Technical Program Management, Project Management, or SEPM experience.
• Proven track record managing software development projects from concept through deployment.
• Experience working with geographically distributed and global teams.
• Hands-on experience with BIOS, firmware, operating systems, device drivers, or platform software.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid development methodologies.
• Familiarity with Windows platforms, embedded systems, enterprise software, cloud applications, and system integration projects.
• Knowledge of system integration testing and validation processes.
• Understanding of BIOS, firmware, device drivers, operating systems, and platform software architecture.

Program Management Skills

• Cross-functional team leadership.

Communication Skills

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification.
• SAFe Agilist Certification.
• Experience in the PC, peripherals, printing, or consumer electronics industries.
• Experience managing ODM/OEM development partners.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) programs.
• Knowledge of PC NPI processes, software release management, system bring-up, and factory integration.
