Maintenance Manager
Sản xuất & chế biến
Kỹ thuật & Sản xuất
The Maintenance Manager is fully responsible for the technical infrastructure, machinery, equipment, and production technology for PP packaging, ensuring the entire production line (Yarn Extrusion - Weaving - Laminating - Cutting - Sewing) operates stably and safely with maximum equipment efficiency (OEE) and minimum consumption/scrap costs. The role is not limited to maintenance and repair; the incumbent must proactively research, improve, automate, and upgrade machinery, and serve as the focal point for researching PP woven packaging production technology domestically and abroad in order to propose, select, and deploy new technologies to support the production expansion strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire machinery system at the factory (yarn extrusion lines, circular looms, laminating machines, cutting machines, sewing machines, PP bag printing machines, etc.), ensuring maximum operating performance with as few defects as possible.
- Read and fully understand equipment status through technical parameters, downtime, incident history, productivity, and defect rates; coordinate with QA/QC to thoroughly resolve root-cause technical issues affecting product quality.
- Build and manage a Preventive Maintenance system, Predictive Maintenance, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM); control downtime metrics to a minimum.
- Proactively research and implement machinery improvement projects following the process: problem → root cause → improvement plan → cost → effectiveness → trial → standardization; targeting goals such as increased machine speed, increased output, reduced scrap, reduced waste, reduced downtime, and automation of process steps.
- Manage materials and spare parts: establish safe inventory levels for critical components, evaluate and recommend equipment/materials suppliers offering quality at optimal cost.
- Manage and develop the technical team (13 staff): assign shifts, build and control KPIs for the mechanical/electrical/machine-setting teams, provide skills training, and standardize machine operating SOPs.
- Research, evaluate, and introduce new technology to the factory: track technology trends in the PP woven industry, work directly with domestic and international machinery suppliers, attend technical exhibitions/trade fairs (including in China), compare technical specifications and ROI, prepare equipment investment proposals, participate in FAT/SAT, and handle installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Requirements
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics, Automation, Polymer/Plastics Technology, or Power/Motive Management.
- Minimum 7 years of factory technical experience, including at least 3 years in a technical/maintenance/technology management role.
- Direct experience in PP packaging / woven bags / plastics / textile yarn / laminated film manufacturing is required; solid understanding of how yarn extrusion lines, circular looms, laminating machines, and automatic cutting-and-sewing machines operate.
- Proven hands-on experience leading machinery improvement projects; able to demonstrate at least 2–3 projects with specific, quantifiable results.
- Deep understanding of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and a continuous improvement mindset (Kaizen/Lean).
- Able to read technical drawings and electrical circuit diagrams, PLC control systems, and basic automation programming; experience configuring inverters, servo systems, and PLC programming for brands such as Mitsubishi, Delta, and Siemens.
- Strong team management skills, decisive task assignment, able to work under high pressure during workshop breakdowns; data-driven problem-solving mindset.
- English: must be able to read technical documents, catalogues, and manuals, and communicate directly with foreign engineers/machinery suppliers (English for Engineering — no certificate required).
- Chinese language ability is a strong advantage (not required).
KPIs
- Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across the entire machinery system — target: maximize equipment performance.
- Downtime rate due to breakdowns — target: minimize.
- PP raw material scrap and wastage rate — target: reduce quarter over quarter.
- Number of improvement/automation projects successfully implemented per year, with measurable cost-saving value (linked to an Improvement Project Bonus based on % of actual savings).
- Progress in transitioning from reactive repair to Preventive Maintenance → Predictive Maintenance → Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), per the defined roadmap.
- Standardization of technical team capability: machine operating SOPs and team/group KPIs (mechanical - electrical - machine-setting) developed and maintained.
