Senior KYC Analyst | Porto

We are recruiting a Senior KYC Analyst to join an international team within the financial sector.

This role will play a key part in Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, client risk assessment, and compliance controls, while also contributing to continuous process improvement and operational excellence.

📍 Location: Porto, Portugal
🕒 Work Schedule: Full-time (Hybrid)


✅ Key Responsibilities
-Conduct due diligence reviews of low, medium, and high-risk CIB clients, in line with the defined scope of work.
-Perform quality control checks, when applicable, across all risk categories, client types, and levels of complexity.
-Independently prepare memorandums related to the reviewed cases, when required.
-Actively participate in and contribute to meetings with Compliance, CCO, Business Teams, IT, Projects, and Platform Managers.
-Plan and deliver training sessions for new hires and refresher training for existing team members in collaboration with the KYC Academy.
-Contribute to the achievement of individual and team KPIs, particularly regarding quality, productivity, and processing times.
-Propose new ways of working and drive innovation initiatives through process improvement, automation, or process elimination, in collaboration with Analysts, Team Leads, and IT teams.
-Liaise with Client Service/KYC Coordination and Front Office teams to collect client information and documentation.


✅ Requirements
-Professional experience in KYC, AML, Due Diligence, Client Onboarding, or Compliance, preferably within the financial sector.
-Academic background in Management, Economics, Finance, or Law.
-Knowledge of client identification, validation, and risk assessment processes.
-Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy.
-Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
-Previous experience in an international environment will be considered an asset.
-Fluency in English is mandatory.
-Knowledge of French will be highly valued.

-Fixed-term outsourcing employment contract (uncertain term).
