Can you keep a production line running smoothly while also leading a team effectively? As a Production Team Leader at EMPWR in Leerdam, you will manage a team of 10 to 17 colleagues on a modern nutritional bar production line. You will be responsible for overseeing production planning, quality, and safety, while ensuring that your team can work efficiently and in a positive working environment.

In this role, you are the link between production, planning, quality, and the technical department. Is production running behind schedule? Has a malfunction occurred? Or does a production line need to be changed over? You keep a clear overview, respond quickly, and ensure the production process continues as smoothly as possible.

As a Production Team Leader, you are responsible for achieving the production targets on your line. You will lead and support colleagues, monitor progress, and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with quality, food safety, and safety standards.

Your responsibilities:

• Leading and supporting a team of 10 to 17 employees
• Ensuring production targets are achieved on your production line
• Monitoring quality, food safety, and a clean working environment
• Setting up and cleaning production lines in accordance with food safety and operational requirements
• Recording material consumption, labor hours, and production results, including in SAP
• Taking quick action in response to deviations, breakdowns, or delays
• Coordinating with planning, the technical department, and quality control
• Contributing ideas for improvements in safety, efficiency, and quality standards

• Hourly salary: €21,88- €24,98 in 3 shifts system and €24,56- €28,03 in 5 shifts system
• 8% holiday allowance and accrual of 25 vacation days (full-time basis)
• Travel allowance of €0.25 per kilometer

You will be working at EMPWR in Leerdam, formerly known as Heartside and VSI. EMPWR is an international manufacturer of nutrition bars. From its modern production facility in Leerdam, products are made for customers all around the world.

You will join a dynamic food production environment where no two days are exactly the same. On the production floor, you will work closely with operators, production employees, planners, the technical department, and quality control. As a Team Leader, you will be a visible presence on the line, ensuring that your team knows what needs to be done and that operations run smoothly.

We are looking for a Team Leader who can maintain a clear overview, communicate effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment. You know how to motivate colleagues, step in when necessary, and remain calm when plans change or pressure increases.

What you bring:

• At least MBO-4 level of education and thinking
• Experience in a production environment, preferably within the food industry
• Knowledge of quality systems, ERP systems such as SAP, and Microsoft Office
• Good command of both Dutch and English
• A practical, solution-oriented, and resilient working attitude
• Willingness to work in shifts
• Strong leadership skills: you are confident in making decisions and know how to motivate people in a positive way to achieve results together
