Optical Solution Developer

We are seeking an Optical Solutions Developer (APAC) to support custom optical solution development across international projects. This role requires strong expertise in optics and the ability to translate customer and application requirements into feasible concepts, technical specifications, and proof of concept results.

Key Competencies:

• Apply expert-level knowledge of geometric optics, wave optics, optical design, and related optical principles to solution development activities.
• Develop differentiated optical solutions based on market trends, customer pain points, and technical requirements.
• Translate customer and application requirements into optical concepts, technical specifications, and practical development plans.
• Build and validate proof of concept solutions as the technical expert responsible for optical feasibility.
• Use optical analysis and basic simulation methods to support design decisions and concept verification.
• Anticipate technical risks associated with proposed solutions and prepare appropriate mitigation approaches.
• Identify, structure, and summarize technical issues arising during solution development.
• Share technical findings, risks, decisions, and open issues with relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with international engineering teams and colleagues in other countries to execute custom projects.

An Ideal Candidate:

• You hold a master’s or doctoral degree in Optics, Physics, or a closely related field.
• You have more than five years of experience in a company, laboratory, or academic environment related to optics.
• You have a strong understanding of lenses and optical systems associated with computer vision.
• You can perform basic optical simulation and apply the results to engineering decisions.
• You demonstrate a problem-recognition and problem-solving mindset with a proactive and structured working approach.
• You communicate effectively across cultures and work well in collaborative, multicultural project environments.
• You have business English proficiency sufficient to conduct meetings and communicate effectively by email.
• Experience or understanding of machine vision and semiconductor applications is preferred.
