Project Manager

Our client is looking for a Mechanical Construction Lead to oversee on-site mechanical construction activities for a large-scale mission-critical infrastructure project. This role will be responsible for ensuring mechanical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedules. The successful candidate will work closely with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to support construction delivery, commissioning readiness, and final handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical construction, MEP projects, or site engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, ventilation, plumbing, fire protection, pumps, and cooling towers.
• Experience reviewing shop drawings, technical submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with QA/QC inspections, testing procedures, commissioning support, and punch list management.
• Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Good communication skills in English with the ability to work in a multicultural project environment.
• Experience in data center, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, industrial, or other mission-critical projects will be an advantage.
• Professional certifications or engineering licenses are a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor mechanical construction activities on site to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Review engineering drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and method statements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Track installation progress, construction sequencing, manpower allocation, and interface coordination.
• Conduct inspections and witness testing activities for mechanical systems.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction issues related to mechanical installations.
• Support QA/QC activities, commissioning preparation, punch list management, and project handover.
• Verify installations comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and industry standards.
• Prepare site reports, progress updates, inspection records, and technical documentation.
• Escalate critical risks and coordinate corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
