Nutrition Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Nutrition Manager to lead its Animal Nutrition function, combining technical expertise in feed formulation and R&D with a strong commercial and business-oriented mindset.

The role will focus on optimising feed formulations, improving raw material utilisation, reducing production costs and enhancing animal performance while developing the Nutrition team's capabilities.

The successful candidate will be a proactive leader who can translate nutritional expertise into practical business outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science or a related field.
• Strong experience in animal nutrition, feed formulation, feed manufacturing or related technical functions.
• Poultry nutrition experience is preferred; swine nutrition experience will also be considered.
• Candidates with aquaculture nutrition experience may be considered if they possess transferable formulation expertise.
• Strong knowledge of feed ingredients, premix, nutritional requirements and formulation optimisation.
• Practical experience in R&D, least-cost formulation and raw material cost optimisation.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to connect technical decisions with business outcomes.
• Proven people management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proactive, hands-on and capable of driving improvements in an evolving environment.

1. Animal Nutrition & Feed Formulation

• Lead the development, evaluation and optimisation of animal feed formulations, primarily focusing on poultry nutrition.
• Ensure formulations meet nutritional requirements, animal performance targets and quality standards.
• Oversee formulation activities involving finished feed, feed ingredients and premix.
• Evaluate alternative ingredients and nutritional solutions to improve formulation efficiency.

2. Cost Optimisation & Raw Material Utilisation

• Drive least-cost formulation while maintaining nutritional quality and animal performance.
• Optimise raw material selection and utilisation to improve cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to evaluate ingredient costs, availability and formulation alternatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability through effective nutrition management.

3. Research & Development

• Lead nutrition-related R&D initiatives to enhance feed quality, performance and cost efficiency.
• Develop and evaluate new formulations, ingredients and premix solutions.
• Translate research findings into practical applications for feed manufacturing.
• Establish R&D priorities aligned with business objectives.

4. Business & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Production, Procurement, Commercial and other relevant functions.
• Provide technical guidance on feed ingredients, product development and formulation-related matters.
• Evaluate nutritional solutions from both technical and commercial perspectives.
• Proactively recommend improvements to support business performance.

5. Team Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop the Nutrition team.
• Provide technical direction and oversee team performance.
• Build a proactive, accountable and collaborative working environment.
