Automation Engineering Manager

About the role

Manage and improve industrial automation, control systems, and manufacturing information systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

·      Experience with industrial automation and control systems >10 yrs.

·      Knowledge of manufacturing processes and maintenance practices.

·      Has experiences in Electronic Assembly or HDD business will be advantage

·      Good computer literature in Microsoft office. / Microsoft power BI

·      Good in English communication (writing, reading and speaking)

Required Skills

·      PLC programming, Vison system, SCARA Robot programming.

·      Understanding of MES, IIoT, data collection, Industrial 4.0, networking (Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP) and AI.

·      Familiar with Vision Inspection Systems and AI-based inspection.

·      Ability to read mechanical drawing, electrical drawings and machine schematics drawing.

·      Electrical and instrumentation knowledge

·      Root cause analysis and troubleshooting

·      Project management planning, scheduling and stakeholder coordination

·      Data analysis and manufacturing systems integration

·      Lead and develop an automation engineering team.

·      Manage CAPEX projects and project budgets.

Key Responsibilities

·      Lead automation projects, upgrades, and new equipment installations.

·      Support, maintain and migration PLC, Vision system, Robot SCARA, and industrial network systems.

·      Troubleshoot automation and control system issues to minimize downtime.

·      Develop, modify, and optimize control logic and automation programs.

·      Manage integration between production equipment and information systems.

·      Monitor system performance and implement continuous improvement projects.

·      Maintain system documentation, backups, and change management records.

·      Provide technical training and support to operations and maintenance personnel.
