About the Opportunity

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking an Engineering Research Operations Specialist to support innovative research at the intersection of engineering, clinical research, and medical-device technology.

This is a 1-year contract opportunity with potential for direct hire based on business needs and performance.

The role is well suited for a research or technical operations professional who enjoys working across disciplines and managing projects from planning through execution. You’ll coordinate internal teams and external research partners, support study operations, troubleshoot technical challenges, analyze engineering data, and help ensure research projects are delivered on schedule and to a high standard of quality.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead communication and coordination between internal project teams and external research vendors.

  • Develop enrollment, throughput, and study execution plans.

  • Manage and communicate project status, timelines, milestones, and deliverables across cross-functional teams.

  • Support research vendor scoping and project planning, including quotes, statements of work, contracts, budgets, and invoicing.

  • Proactively identify and resolve risks related to schedule, execution, and data quality.

  • Balance multiple research projects across different geographic regions.

  • Initiate, execute, monitor, and report on research activities with a strong focus on data quality and timely delivery.

  • Develop study and operational documentation, including consent forms, statements of work, SOPs, and research procedures.

  • Order, coordinate, and distribute study supplies to researchers, including device setup when needed.

  • Facilitate collaboration across engineering, research/study teams, design, clinical, and regulatory functions.

  • Develop and train study personnel on data-collection procedures, study systems, and data-monitoring processes.

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software challenges and analyze engineering data to support study-level recommendations.

  • Help ensure research activities are executed efficiently while maintaining high-quality results.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related research/technical discipline.

  • 3+ years of experience in health research management, engineering operations, clinical/medical research, or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of direct experience supporting technical operations in a research environment.

  • Experience with clinical research, health research, medical-device research, or engineering research.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute and manage research or engineering projects of varying sizes and complexity.

  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and analyze engineering or research data.

  • Experience managing or coordinating vendors, contractors, or external research partners.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across highly cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related discipline.

  • Experience analyzing engineering or technical research data.

  • Experience supporting medical-device development or technology research.

  • Experience working with clinical, regulatory, engineering, and design stakeholders.

  • Experience coordinating research activities across multiple geographic regions.

Education & Experience

Education:
BA/BS or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related research discipline.

Experience:
3+ years in health research management, engineering operations, clinical/medical research, or a related field, including at least 2 years directly supporting technical operations in a research setting.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $70.00 per hour
