About the Opportunity

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Genotyping Laboratory Technician to support daily operations within a high-throughput laboratory environment in Ankeny, Iowa.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who is comfortable working independently on an overnight shift and takes pride in maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and efficient laboratory workspace.

The role combines sample handling, laboratory operations, inventory management, reagent and buffer preparation, equipment operation, troubleshooting, and documentation, while providing the opportunity to work alongside laboratory, manufacturing, and research teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily laboratory operations within a genotyping production environment.

• Receive, inspect, and accurately label incoming samples according to established procedures.

• Maintain sufficient inventory of laboratory supplies and labware and assist with receiving materials.

• Prepare buffers, reagents, and other laboratory materials as needed.

• Operate laboratory equipment used to support genotyping production activities.

• Perform routine equipment troubleshooting and escalate issues when appropriate.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly laboratory workspace.

• Review, organize, and archive task-related documentation and records.

• Follow established SOPs, workflow guidelines, and Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) requirements.

• Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment.

• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

• Collaborate effectively with multiple supervisors and cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and research personnel.

• Perform additional laboratory support activities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laboratory, production, manufacturing, quality, or other regulated environment preferred.

• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, supplies, samples, reagents, and basic laboratory procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow written procedures.

• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.19 per hour
