Speech Therapist

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is partnering with a specialized school in New York City to find a compassionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join their team. Position Details

• Salary: $72,000–$100,000 per year

• Location: New York City, NY

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–3:30 PM

• Employment: Full-Time, Exempt

• Schedule: 10-month academic calendar

About the Role

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you’ll provide direct and indirect speech and language services to students while working closely with classroom teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team.

You’ll play an important role in assessing student needs, developing individualized goals, tracking progress, and creating collaborative strategies that help students succeed in the classroom and beyond.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide direct speech and language services to students.

• Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify student needs and levels of functioning.

• Observe students in the classroom and collaborate with teachers and educational staff.

• Develop individualized plans and activities based on student needs and assessment results.

• Maintain ongoing communication with classroom teachers and parents regarding student progress.

• Participate in classroom team meetings and monthly student meetings.

• Develop progress reports in collaboration with teachers and other team members.

• Create treatment and service plans aligned with student goals.

• Maintain accurate narrative logs, attendance records, and service documentation.

• Track sessions and ensure required make-up services are completed.

• Prepare documentation for CSE meetings and other school-related meetings when needed.

• Build positive working relationships with teachers, paraprofessionals, general education staff, and families.

• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, workshops, and training opportunities.

• Maintain organized schedules and complete documentation in accordance with school requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• TSSLD and/or TSHH certification

• Valid and current New York State license/certification to practice

• Ability to provide a National Provider Identifier (NPI)

• School-based experience is highly preferred

• Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will be considered

• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and collaboration skills

• Passion for working with students and supporting their individual needs

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
