Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Direct Hire Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Department: Emergency Department (ED) Pay Range: $38–$52 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and location Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with a wide range of emergent and urgent medical conditions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and possesses excellent clinical judgment, critical-thinking skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients ranging from newborns to geriatric populations. Rapidly assess patients and prioritize care according to acuity and clinical needs. Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergent situations. Operate proficiently under ACLS standards and participate in emergency response and resuscitation efforts. Prepare for and assist physicians and other providers with emergency procedures, including: Endotracheal intubation Chest tube insertion Thoracentesis Paracentesis Intraosseous access Central line insertion Other emergent procedures as needed Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, admitting physicians, consulting physicians, CRNAs, and other members of the healthcare team. Administer medications and treatments safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation. Provide patient and family education and emotional support. Follow established clinical, safety, infection-control, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications & Certifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license applicable to the state of practice. BLS certification required. ACLS certification required. PALS certification required within 12 months of hire. TNCC and ENPC preferred. Strong emergency nursing assessment and critical-thinking skills. Ability to care effectively for patients of all ages and with a broad range of emergent conditions. Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions in stressful situations. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ideal Candidate Confident and adaptable in a high-acuity emergency setting. Able to prioritize multiple patients and competing clinical demands. Skilled in emergency procedures and resuscitation protocols. Excellent communicator and collaborative team member. Detail-oriented with strong clinical judgment.
