About the Role:

As a Human Resources Representative, you will serve as a point of contact for HR Services, Talent Acquisition coordination, and the primary contact to evaluate criminal convictions in the background check process and provide hiring recommendations to the appropriate hiring manager. You will support background check screening process and will be responsible for researching and executing quality evaluation and resolution of “needs review” background checks in compliance with applicable laws and company procedures. The HR Representative will be responsible for receiving, routing, and responding to calls from store management, field leaders, corporate and distribution centers on matters related, but not limited to: support of the recruiting and onboarding process; assist with locating HR policies and procedures; provide guidance on basic policies and procedures, working closely with various other support functions to resolve matters; collects and disseminates information quickly, clearly and accurately to the appropriate workgroup through the case management system; identify and immediate escalate critical matters; identify priorities and problems requiring action and facilitating communication for timely responses. The Human Resources Services Representative partners with their manager to regularly review performance in delivering high-level customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage HR inboxes, answer employee inquiries, and escalate issues to the appropriate teams.

  • Support recruiting and HR processes, including job postings, interview scheduling, onboarding, background checks, relocation, temporary staffing, and referral programs.

  • Handle high-volume employee calls regarding payroll, benefits, leave of absence, HR policies, and HR systems, resolving issues whenever possible.

  • Route HR-related inquiries to the correct teams and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.

  • Maintain accurate records of employee inquiries and case outcomes in the HR case management system.

  • Manage end-to-end background screening adjudication, including verifying credentials, evaluating eligibility, conducting individualized assessments, and determining hiring recommendations.

  • Communicate background check results and provide guidance to managers, recruiters, and business leaders.

  • Coordinate with background screening vendors to monitor case status, ensure compliance, and meet service-level expectations.

  • Serve as a liaison between HR, Legal, and vendors to resolve issues and improve screening processes.

  • Maintain accurate background check documentation, reporting, and case management records.

  • Stay current on background screening laws, compliance requirements, and related processes.

  • Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred

  • 1-3 years administrative experience

  • MS Office skills, including Word and Excel

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (verbal and written) with organizational awareness and sensitivity

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

  • Ability to meet or exceed established service level expectations

  • Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers

 

Additional Details:

  • Work hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

  • Remote work model

Pay Details: $24.00 per hour
