Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R)

Location: Des Moines, IA
Setting: Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic

We are seeking a patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join a busy outpatient orthopedic clinic. This position combines diagnostic X-ray responsibilities with hands-on clinical support, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, patient interaction, and working closely with physicians and clinical staff.

What You’ll Do

• Perform diagnostic X-rays based on physician orders

• Adjust positioning and imaging techniques to capture requested views

• Prepare and room patients for examinations

• Record medical histories, medications, allergies, and vital signs in the EMR

• Access and manage internal and external PACS images

• Assist physicians with injections and minor in-office procedures

• Remove casts, dressings, sutures, and staples as directed

• Provide basic wound care and apply minor splints when qualified

• Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic

• Greet and check in patients while verifying their information

• Clean and maintain X-ray rooms and equipment

• Stock examination rooms and clinical work areas

• Follow all radiation safety, quality assurance, and patient confidentiality standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program

• Current ARRT(R) registration

• Current state permit or license to practice

• Current CPR certification

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills

• Ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, and clinical team members

• Comfortable using electronic medical records and PACS systems

Pay Details: $28.00 to $26.00 per hour
