Job Description:
As a Project Buyer Expeditor you will have day-to-day involvement in Procurement activity within the business to ensure efficient management of the targets needed. You will focus on tactical execution of purchase order schedules related to material for multiple projects within New Unit Gas Turbine Business. You will solve short term / daily issues, creating huge value for our customers, becoming an expert of tactical execution, expediting, and supply chain performance management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage a work queue and secure that Purchase Orders are issued in due time.
Manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiate price increase requests, resolve issues pertaining to invoicing/payment.
Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification).
Maintain records of all documentation, adherence of online purchasing and contract management systems.
Support and/or lead Procurement Business Plan activities.
Strong collaboration with global and local project management and the operational material requirements planning team to achieve most effectiveness in planning, alignment and execution.
Continuously monitor own procurement list, follow up on execution such as order confirmation, progress, compliance with quality requirements.
Provide weekly interval schedule progress reports.
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:
High School Diploma/GED
3+ years of experience in direct procurement
Strong SAP transactional experience
Outstanding Excel skills
Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, collaboration and influencing techniques, result-orientation and strategic-innovative thinking required

Pay Details: $30.34 per hour
