CAD Drafter / Design Technician

Location: Plainview, NY
In-Person Position – Candidates must be able to work onsite

We are seeking an outgoing and detail-oriented CAD Drafter / Design Technician to create clear, accurate technical drawings, schematics, layouts, and manufacturing blueprints.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 2D drawings and 3D models from sketches, notes, and concept designs

• Develop detailed technical drawings, schematics, layouts, and manufacturing blueprints

• Verify dimensions, material specifications, and component relationships

• Make design revisions and process ECOs/ECNs

• Work closely with the engineering team on design updates and improvements

• Create technical charts, diagrams, electrical routing, and system schematics

• Research and identify electronic and mechanical components

• Maintain document history, configuration control, and ISO quality standards

Required Skills

• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or DraftSight

• Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering practices, mathematics, and materials

• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-precision drawings

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications

• 2–4 years of related experience and/or relevant technical education preferred

Location: Plainview, NY
This is a fully in-person role. Candidates must be able to work onsite daily.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $38.00 per hour
