Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift - M-TH 6 am - 4:30 pm - occasional Fridays

Adecco Permanent Recruitment Team has partnered with a growing technology-driven manufacturing company to identify an experienced Maintenance Technician for their 1st shift operation in Metro Detroit.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and production machinery. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys diagnosing problems, making repairs, and helping keep a manufacturing operation running efficiently. Must be able to read electrical schematics.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues

• Perform equipment installations, modifications, and repairs

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance needs

• Perform scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance

• Maintain and repair facility equipment and systems as needed

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals

• Assist with equipment improvements, modifications, and process improvements

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

• Work with production and other team members to identify and resolve equipment issues

• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems

• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

• Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment repair

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification is a plus

Schedule & Compensation

• 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with some flexibility and occasional work on Friday

• Up to $32/hour, based on experience
