Staff Nurse – LPN

Pay Range: $24.00–$28.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a collaborative healthcare team in Aiken, SC. The Staff Nurse provides direct patient care and supports providers with care coordination, clinical procedures, patient education, documentation, and day-to-day clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient intake, chart preparation, vital signs, laboratory work, and clinical procedures.

• Assess patients' health and nursing needs and communicate relevant information to providers.

• Administer injections and vaccinations and provide wound care and other hands-on nursing services.

• Assist with lab draws, medication refills, medical records, referrals, and care coordination.

• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, prevention, and basic disease processes.

• Assist with procedures such as Pap smears and breast examinations as appropriate.

• Facilitate efficient clinic flow and exam-room turnover.

• Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation and data-entry activities.

• Communicate with pharmacies, physicians' offices, healthcare providers, and community agencies to coordinate patient care.

• Maintain medication logs, sample medication records, and related documentation.

• Keep clinical areas clean, organized, properly stocked, and ready for patient care.

• Participate in quality-improvement initiatives, continuing education, training, and in-service programs.

• Support a busy, fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining professionalism and a non-judgmental approach.

• May travel to other locations within the organization as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma with 2 years of experience, or Associate Degree in Nursing with 3 years of experience.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 1 year of experience preferred.

• Current, unrestricted South Carolina nursing license required.

• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

• Basic HIV/AIDS and general medical knowledge.

• Experience with electronic medical records; eClinicalWorks experience is a plus.

• Strong understanding of clinical policies, procedures, standards, and protocols.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with patients and providers from diverse backgrounds.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.

• Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel between locations when needed.

Compensation

$24.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, grip, and perform repetitive hand movements.

• Ability to use computers and electronic medical record systems.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced clinical environment.

• Effective hearing, vision, and communication skills required for patient care.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
