This confidential search is for an experienced Food Service Manager to oversee a multi-site food service operation in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage daily kitchen operations, support staff directly, and maintain high standards for food quality, safety, customer service, and fiscal responsibility. The successful candidate will work closely with a lean team, step into day-to-day operations as needed, and use practical problem-solving to keep service consistent and efficient. This position includes responsibility for budgeting, inventory control, menu planning, compliance, training, and coordination of special events. The client is seeking a disciplined professional who can lead from the front and maintain operational excellence while working with limited resources.

What You Will Do?

• Direct and oversee daily food service operations across multiple facilities.

• Lead, coach, train, develop, and hold staff accountable for performance standards.

• Manage budgets, food costs, labor costs, inventory levels, and purchasing activities.

• Develop, implement, and monitor menus, sanitation practices, and food safety procedures.

• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and retention efforts for food service personnel.

• Support kitchen operations directly when staffing levels or business needs require it.

• Conduct inspections, audits, and compliance checks to meet health and safety standards.

• Partner with internal departments and external stakeholders on special events and programs.

Your Skills

• Minimum 2 years of food service management experience in a high-volume environment.

• Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development experience.

• Experience managing budgets, inventory, purchasing, and food costs.

• Working knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

• Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Certified Food Protection Manager or equivalent food safety certification is preferred.
