Engineering Manager

My client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop its engineering team and oversee the successful execution of precast/prestressed concrete projects. This role works closely with Design, Project Management, Sales, Estimating, Production, and Erection teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team.
• Manage workload planning, project assignments, schedules, and departmental budgets.
• Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and technical studies.
• Ensure compliance with IBC, ACI, ASCE, PCI, and applicable building codes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Estimating, Project Management, Production, and Erection teams.
• Support pre-engineering, project costing, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive engineering quality, efficiency, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of precast/prestressed concrete design experience; 10+ preferred.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience in the precast/prestressed industry.
• PE license in IL, WI, or IN, or ability to obtain.
• Structural Engineer (SE) license a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, ACI, ASCE, and PCI standards.
• Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Strong understanding of both engineering and business aspects of project execution.

Pay Details: $160,000.00 to $169,986.00 per year
