Job Summary

My client is looking to hire a Director of Quality & Technical Services provides strategic leadership for quality, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and technical services across the Prestress Division. This role leads Quality Control initiatives, standardizes processes across multiple plants, improves manufacturing efficiency, and develops architectural precast capabilities and best practices.

The Director works closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety, Project Management, and plant leadership to improve productivity, product consistency, quality, and technical performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead division-wide Quality Control programs, standards, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Improve production standards for mix design, formwork, embeds, finishing, curing, and quality.
  • Develop and standardize architectural precast processes, finishes, mock-ups, and inspection requirements.
  • Train and mentor plant teams on architectural processes, quality, and technical standards.
  • Assess plant readiness and support the development of architectural precast capabilities.
  • Partner with Engineering to standardize architectural details, modeling, and manufacturing practices.
  • Establish consistent KPIs, reporting, and performance metrics across plants.
  • Improve throughput, labor efficiency, downtime, and overall manufacturing performance.
  • Lead cross-plant collaboration and implementation of best practices.
  • Support resolution of complex technical, quality, field, and project issues.
  • Identify and implement technology and AI solutions to improve manufacturing and industrial engineering practices.
  • Coach and develop supervisors, quality personnel, and production teams.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between production, engineering, project management, and customers.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Advanced degree in Business or Construction Management a plus.
  • 7+ years of senior-level quality control or manufacturing management experience.
  • Strong background in continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Experience with precast/prestressed concrete and architectural precast preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • PCI Level III Certification preferred/required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across multiple facilities.


Pay Details: $170,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year
