Medical Imager / X-Ray / CT Technologist Pay Range: $27.13–$39.70 per hour, based on experience Location: New Hampshire Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: On-call and weekend requirements may apply Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Medical Imager / X-Ray / CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures while providing safe, compassionate, and age-appropriate patient care. The Medical Imager will prepare and screen patients for imaging procedures, operate radiologic and CT equipment, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and members of the healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both radiography and CT. Candidates with strong radiography experience who are not yet CT certified may be considered for CT training. Key Responsibilities Prepare and appropriately screen patients prior to imaging procedures. Verify patient information and ensure appropriate preparation for diagnostic imaging. Perform X-ray and CT imaging procedures according to established protocols and professional standards. Produce high-quality diagnostic images for use in identifying and diagnosing medical conditions. Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively. Explain imaging procedures to patients in a clear, professional, and age-appropriate manner. Adapt communication and care techniques based on the patient's age, condition, and level of understanding. Assess patient comfort and pain and communicate concerns to the appropriate physician or healthcare professional when necessary. Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and respond appropriately to changes in their condition. Maintain patient safety throughout all aspects of imaging and patient care. Follow radiation safety practices and applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to imaging procedures and patient care. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other members of the healthcare team. Maintain confidentiality of patient information. Follow established infection prevention, safety, and quality standards. Maintain imaging equipment and report equipment concerns or malfunctions as appropriate. Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Current ARRT certification in Radiography — Required. Current ARRT certification in CT — Required. Current New Hampshire license in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy — Required. Current BLS certification — Required. Ability to provide safe and effective patient care in a diagnostic imaging environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with patients of varying ages and medical conditions. Preferred Qualifications 2 years of imaging experience — Highly Preferred. Current compliance with continuing education requirements — Highly Preferred. Bachelor of Science degree — Preferred, but not required. Previous experience working in both radiography and CT. Candidates with strong radiography experience who do not yet have CT experience may be considered for CT training. Compensation Experience-Based Pay Structure 0–2 years of experience: $27.13–$27.29/hour 3–10 years of experience: $27.72–$32.50/hour 11–20 years of experience: $33.08–$39.70/hour Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and applicable pay practices.
