CNC Machinist – Gun Drilling / Milling / Turning

Adecco Permanent Recruitment Team has partnered with a leading precision manufacturing company in Livonia, MI to identify an experienced CNC Machinist with a strong background in gun drilling orm milling.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys working in a high-precision, job-shop environment and takes pride in producing quality parts for the plastic injection molding industry. The position will require occasional travel to Massachusetts for training.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to manufacture precision parts

• Determine appropriate tooling, work holding and machining processes

• Set up and operate CNC mills and CNC gun drills

• Produce high-quality parts within required specifications and tolerances

• Inspect completed parts using appropriate measuring tools

• Follow verbal and written work instructions and operator certification requirements

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

• Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of CNC machining experience preferred

• CNC milling and/or gun drilling experience

• Strong job shop machining experience

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Knowledge of tooling, work holding and machining techniques

• Strong math and measurement skills

• Experience using precision measuring tools

• SolidWorks and/or Mastercam experience preferred

• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot machining challenges

• Understanding of quality-at-the-source principles

• Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement

• Willingness to work within ISO/QS 9000 quality standards

• High school diploma or GED
