Position Overview

We are seeking an Associate Chemist to join a skincare laboratory team in Clark, NJ. This role will support formulation development, stability testing, quality control, sample preparation, and laboratory documentation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career scientist interested in gaining hands-on experience in the cosmetic, skincare, pharmaceutical, or consumer products industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Support formulation activities, including batching and preparation of laboratory samples.

• Conduct stability studies and prepare, fill, and label samples for testing.

• Submit samples and requests for microbiological, safety, and evaluation testing.

• Document and report laboratory and formulation results.

• Troubleshoot formulation and laboratory issues as needed.

• Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow established safety procedures.

• Review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and follow applicable laboratory safety guidelines.

• Compile ingredient information for review and reporting.

• Perform quality-control measurements and microscopic analysis.

• Operate small-scale laboratory manufacturing kettles and related bench equipment.

• Perform light lifting, including laboratory buckets or boxes generally weighing up to approximately 10 kg.

• Support other laboratory activities and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant scientific discipline.

• Cosmetic or pharmaceutical laboratory experience is not required.

• Strong interest in laboratory science, formulation, and product development.

• Quick learner with strong attention to detail.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented laboratory environment.

• Ability to follow established procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and prioritize multiple tasks.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Monday–Friday

• 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Business casual to business professional attire.

• Primarily laboratory-based work with hands-on formulation and testing activities.

• Some light lifting and operation of laboratory-scale equipment required.

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
