Position Overview

We are seeking a Chemist / Scientist I – Finished Product to join a pharmaceutical laboratory team in High Point, NC. This position is responsible for performing chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products while following established laboratory procedures and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science and strong attention to detail. Previous GMP laboratory experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products.

• Conduct testing for product strength, impurities, identity, and other quality attributes.

• Perform analytical testing using chromatography, spectroscopy, and traditional wet chemistry techniques.

• Use validated and compendial test methods in accordance with laboratory procedures.

• Identify and report out-of-specification (OOS) and unexpected results.

• Troubleshoot analytical instruments and laboratory equipment as needed.

• Accurately document testing procedures, results, and observations.

• Communicate testing results and laboratory findings to internal departments.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.

• Follow all SOPs, GMP, GLP, and safety requirements.

• Maintain required training and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and solve problems

• Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications

Preferred

• Previous GMP laboratory experience

• Experience working with pharmaceutical products

• Experience with chromatography and chromatographic data systems

• Experience with analytical laboratory instrumentation

• Experience with spectroscopy and wet chemistry techniques

Work Environment

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Alternating weekend work may be required after training based on business needs

• Laboratory environment with required safety practices and procedures

• Must be comfortable working with laboratory equipment, testing materials, and pharmaceutical products

Compensation

$21.00 per hour

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
