Adecco is hiring an experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for a leading structural steel manufacturer in Rhome, TX. Schedule

Monday-Friday 5:00 AM-3:30 PM Saturdays as needed

What You'll Do

• Perform visual inspections of welds on heavy structural steel assemblies and poles

• Verify compliance with AWS D1.1, AISC standards, and customer specifications

• Conduct in-process and final weld inspections throughout fabrication

• Review blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and project specifications

• Maintain accurate inspection reports and quality documentation

• Support AISC certification requirements and annual audits

• Work closely with production and QA/QC teams to address quality concerns

• Help identify and resolve non-conforming materials and workmanship issues

Required Qualifications

• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification

• 3+ years of welding inspection experience within structural steel or heavy fabrication

• Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols

• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards

• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in heavy structural steel fabrication

• Level II UT and/or MT certification

• Knowledge of AISC quality programs

• Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience

Work Environment

This position is based in a structural steel fabrication facility and requires regular time on the production floor. Candidates must be comfortable working around welding operations, heavy equipment, and changing shop conditions.
