Engineering & Manufacturing
A leading global semiconductor company developing low-power wireless connectivity solutions for IoT and connected devices worldwide. The company offers a collaborative engineering culture, strong technical ownership, and opportunities to work on cutting-edge communication technologies from silicon development through high-volume production.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-8 years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, product engineering, or related fields.
- Proven experience developing IC production tests on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms.
- Experience with RF and/or mixed-signal semiconductor devices is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Comfortable working in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.
Technical Requirements
- Hands-on experience developing production test programs on semiconductor ATE platforms.
- Experience with industry-standard test platforms (Advantest, Teradyne, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of RF measurement techniques and lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and power meters is an advantage.
- Programming experience in C/C++, Python, Java, or similar languages.
- Experience with data analysis tools and production data environments, including Python, JMP, MATLAB, STDF-based yield analysis systems, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes, wafer sort, final test, and collaboration with foundries and outsourced assembly and test providers (OSATs).
- Understanding of quality and reliability methodologies such as SPC, yield management, root-cause analysis, and structured problem-solving approaches (e.g., 8D).
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join our Product & Test Engineering (PTE) team and take a central role in RFIC test development at the silicon level. You will develop and own ATE test programs on the Advantest 93000 platform (SmarTest 8), contribute to test hardware development for wafer sort and final test, and take part in production analysis and RMA investigations. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership — from new product introduction through high-volume production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and maintain RFIC production test programs on Automated Test Equipment (ATE), from test planning through characterization, correlation, qualification, and production release.
- Define and develop test hardware including load boards, probe cards, and sockets for wafer sort and final test.
- Monitor manufacturing yield and test performance, perform outlier detection, optimize test time and cost, and support production disposition activities with subcontract manufacturing partners.
- Participate in customer return and failure analysis investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
- Analyze large volumes of characterization and production data using statistical methods and data-analysis tools.
- Support new product introduction activities from first silicon through qualification and production ramp.
- Collaborate closely with IC design, systems, quality, operations, manufacturing partners, and external suppliers to resolve test and product-related challenges.
- Document test methodologies, development flows, and continuous improvement activities to support quality, yield, and productivity targets.
