Testing and Commissioning Manager (Data Center Construction)

About the role

The Testing & Commissioning Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, coordinating, and supervising all T&C activities for mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), ICT, and low-voltage systems within Data Center construction projects. The position will work closely with contractors, consultants, OEM vendors, clients, and internal project teams to ensure that installed systems meet design specifications, operational requirements, and applicable quality standards prior to final handover.

Employment Terms

Contract Duration: 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract

The successful candidate will initially be employed under a 2-year contract. Upon completion of the contract period, employment will be reviewed based on individual performance, business requirements, and project/company needs, with the opportunity for Conversion to permanent employment

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, coordinate, and supervise all Testing & Commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, ICT, and low-voltage systems.
• Develop and coordinate T&C schedules in alignment with overall project milestones.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, OEM vendors, clients, and internal project stakeholders throughout the commissioning process.
• Review and validate method statements, commissioning plans, FAT/SAT procedures, testing protocols, and system integration testing procedures.
• Monitor commissioning activities to ensure systems operate in accordance with the approved design intent and operational requirements.
• Identify technical issues during commissioning and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and re-testing.
• Monitor on-site T&C activities to ensure compliance with safety requirements, local regulations, project specifications, and applicable industry standards.
• Review and maintain commissioning documentation, including test results, punch lists, performance verification records, and system certifications.
• Ensure deficiencies identified during commissioning are properly recorded, rectified, closed out, and re-tested.
• Act as the key point of contact for T&C-related coordination and communication with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.

Remarks:

This is a contract position, with the possibility of being considered for a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong professional experience in Testing & Commissioning, MEP, building services, or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Experience in Data Center projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Testing & Commissioning methodologies, procedures, documentation, and system integration.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems used in mission-critical facilities.
• Familiarity with FAT, SAT, functional performance testing, integrated systems testing, and commissioning documentation.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting capability.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, project-based environment and manage multiple commissioning priorities.
• Strong & Business Level Communication in English, both written and spoken.
