Software Installation Engineer

We are partnering with a global healthcare technology leader, Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company, to hire a Software Installation Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare, enterprise technology, and customer success, supporting advanced oncology software solutions used by hospitals and cancer treatment centers.

As a Software Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, upgrading, and supporting mission-critical software systems within customer environments. Working closely with hospital IT teams, project managers, and technical specialists, you will ensure successful implementations while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This position is ideal for professionals with strong infrastructure and systems engineering backgrounds who enjoy customer-facing work, problem solving, and regional project exposure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in software implementation, systems engineering, infrastructure deployment, technical consulting, or related customer-facing technical roles.
• Experience managing or supporting enterprise-level IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Exposure to Citrix environments is an advantage.
• Familiarity with enterprise software deployment and system integration activities.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to travel extensively across Thailand and other countries within the ASEAN region.
• Ability to work directly with customer IT teams and external stakeholders.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and validate software solutions at customer sites.
• Assess customer IT infrastructure readiness, including servers, virtualization platforms, networking, and security environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation and post-installation activities.
• Collaborate with hospital IT teams and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support system integration, testing, customer acceptance, and go-live activities.
• Lead technical deployment activities for assigned projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams when required.
• Maintain project documentation, installation records, and technical reports.
• Provide technical consultation and best practice recommendations to customers.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and build strong relationships with client stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
• Travel extensively across Thailand and the ASEAN region to support customer implementations.
