Software Development Team Lead

About the Opportunity

We're partnering with an international technology company looking for an experienced Software Development Team Lead to establish and grow its engineering presence in Thailand. This is a unique opportunity for a technically strong leader who enjoys balancing people leadership with hands-on software development. You will play a key role in building a high-performing local team, shaping technical direction, and working closely with global engineering teams across Europe and Asia. Beyond team leadership, you'll remain actively involved in architecture, software delivery, customer engagement, and strategic technology decisions that directly impact industrial and enterprise customers worldwide.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of software development experience with demonstrated technical leadership, project ownership, or team management exposure.
• Strong software engineering background in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar modern backend technologies.
• Solid understanding of web application architecture, APIs, databases, authentication, system integrations, Docker, Linux, and CI/CD environments.
• Experience working across diverse technology stacks, including exposure to C++, React, cloud platforms, and customer-hosted environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• A pragmatic problem solver who can balance technical excellence with delivery timelines and business priorities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build, lead, and inspire a software engineering team in Thailand, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence.
• Partner closely with engineering teams in Denmark and stakeholders across Asia to align priorities, resources, and technical roadmaps.
• Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to transform business requirements into scalable software solutions, technical architectures, and delivery plans.
• Stay hands-on in software development, code reviews, troubleshooting, and key architectural decisions.
• Drive engineering best practices across source control, testing, CI/CD, security, documentation, deployment, and operational support.
• Mentor and develop engineers at different career stages, from fresh graduates to experienced professionals.
• Champion the effective adoption of AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
• Collaborate with international QA teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
