Dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences and world-class service standards, they are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead staff capabilities, elevate service quality, and foster a culture of continuous operational excellence.


Job Summary

The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for elevating workforce capability and performance to uphold 5-star service excellence across all golf and club operations. This role involves designing and implementing a structured training system, facilitating high-impact learning programs, and managing the annual performance evaluation framework.


Working closely with Executive Leadership (General Manager, HR Director, and Department Heads), the ideal candidate will bridge operational gaps with tailored development solutions and cultivate a high-performance culture.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive L&D experience, with a proven track record in the hospitality, luxury resort, or high-end golf/sports club industry.
  • Demonstrated success in designing, delivering, and evaluating structured training programs from the ground up.

Core Competencies:

  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills with an inspiring training presence.
  • In-depth knowledge of performance management frameworks, evaluation tools, and competency modeling.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Strong project management, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. L&D Strategy & Systems Architecture

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy aligned with organizational goals and luxury service standards.
  • Establish a structured, end-to-end training system, including mandatory onboarding, core operational compliance, and leadership development frameworks.
  • Design, refresh, and maintain high-quality training manuals, interactive resources, and instructional materials.

2. Training Delivery & Capability Building

  • Conduct regular interactive training modules focused on 5-star customer service excellence, technical job skills, workplace safety, and leadership behaviors.
  • Partner with Department Heads to perform Training Needs Analyses (TNA) based on operational audits, performance reviews, and business requirements.
  • Monitor industry trends, modern adult learning techniques, and hospitality best practices to continuously innovate training offerings.

3. Performance Management & Evaluation

  • Manage and oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring fair, constructive, and actionable feedback across all departments.
  • Track and measure learning effectiveness, ROI, and post-training workplace application, adjusting programs as needed.
  • Identify high-potential talent to map out individual development plans (IDPs) and succession pipelines.

4. Leadership Alignment, Governance & Reporting

  • Collaborate with the General Manager and HR Director to present monthly training analytics, performance evaluation reports, and capability metrics.
  • Ensure all training practices strictly adhere to industry safety standards, quality control regulations, and legal guidelines (e.g., PDPA and labor standards).
  • Champion culture-building, employee engagement, and inter-departmental synergy across a diverse workforce.
