R&D Electrical Engineer

The Opportunity:

You will be joining a reputable semiconductor OSAT company in their R&D team, supporting the development and enhancement of advanced semiconductor process equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing electrical systems, developing automation solutions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and reliable equipment solutions.

The Job:

• Design and develop electrical systems for semiconductor equipment, including power distribution, control panels, electrical schematics, wiring, and safety interlocks.
• Develop and support automation and motion control solutions using PLC platforms, integrating motors, servo drives, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT and Ethernet.
• Drive R&D initiatives, new product development, customer engineering projects, and continuous improvement programs by delivering innovative electrical design solutions.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and process engineering teams during equipment integration, commissioning, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and support project execution through component selection, technical reviews, documentation, vendor coordination, and hands-on engineering support in lab and manufacturing environments.

The Talent:

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience within the semiconductor industry, preferably in semiconductor equipment development or automation environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a proactive and self-driven approach.
• Ability to conceptualize, develop, and evaluate electrical design solutions and system interfaces.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with electrical design software and engineering tools such as WSCAD, AutoCAD, PLC systems, and SAP will be advantageous.
