Quantity Surveyor

The Opportunity:

Adecco is partnering with a harbour and marine construction main contractor. They are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support cost management, contract administration, and project commercial activities. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or junior professionals looking to build a career in quantity surveying and project cost management.

The Job:

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
• Support the evaluation of quotations, tenders, and subcontractor proposals.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and measurement of works based on drawings and specifications.
• Assist in contract administration, variation orders, and claims management.
• Track project costs and support monthly cost reporting and forecasting activities.
• Monitor subcontractor progress claims and payment certifications.
• Maintain project commercial records and documentation.
• Liaise with project teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers on commercial matters.
• Support cost control initiatives to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Assist with final account preparation and project close-out activities.

The Talent:

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with up to 3 years of quantity surveying or construction-related experience will have an advantage.
• Basic understanding of construction contracts, costing, and tendering processes.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Meticulous, proactive, and willing to learn in a fast-paced project environment.
