Adecco is recruiting on behalf of its client, a global leading tobacco company, for a Marketing Specialist with German in Bucharest.


About the role:

The Marketing Specialist plans and drives the trade marketing and brand activation strategy of the company across active markets. The role owns POSM strategy, marketing investment allocation, and partner execution performance, and turns field feedback and campaign data into recommendations that shape commercial decisions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, or Marketing Activation.
  • Advanced English and fluent German language skills.
  • Experience managing marketing campaigns, POSM, and promotional activities.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and external partners/agencies.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Availability for regular field visits and business travel.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in FMCG, Tobacco, or Consumer Goods industries.
  • Exposure to multi-market or regional marketing environments.
  • Experience with retail execution and trade marketing performance analysis.



1. Marketing Material Strategy & Production

  • Define the market-level Key Visual (KV) adaptation framework and direct the agency accordingly;
  • Own and evolve the Standard Toolkit, deciding which advanced POSM to invest in based on performance data;
  • Set approval and compliance standards across markets, and manage escalation of exceptions;
  • Collect and analyze field feedback to inform future KV and POSM development.

2. Marketing Investment Planning & Governance

  • Propose the annual marketing investment plan, and own the Cycle Plan by market and quarterly execution tracking;
  • Allocate promotional budget by campaign and region based on performance data, and reallocate in-year as needed;
  • Manage spot promotions and ad-hoc marketing initiatives;
  • Own budget governance, including variance analysis and cost negotiation with local partners;
  • Report final invoice amounts to HQ and coordinate internal registration and approval of marketing contracts and budget agreements.

3. Field Execution & Market Monitoring

  • Conduct structured field visits to evaluate local partner execution, including marketing implementation, POSM, pricing visibility, and compliance;
  • Diagnose the root causes of execution gaps and run the corrective-action cycle with partners through to resolution;
  • Turn field and campaign data into performance reviews with recommendations for the next cycle.
