Senior Golang Developer

Client Description:

We are currently seeking a talented Senior Golang Developer for our client.

We are also open to candidates with a Fullstack profile, particularly those who bring solid backend expertise complemented by at least basic hands-on experience in frontend development. This includes working with modern JavaScript frameworks, understanding UI principles, and being able to contribute to end-to-end feature delivery.

Fully remote position

Candidate Profile:

• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang)
• Solid experience building backend systems and APIs in a production environment.
• Experience working in product-focused engineering teams rather than strictly delivery or outsourcing environments.
• Understanding of modern development practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments, preferably AWS (deep infrastructure expertise is not required).
• Experience using AI development tools as part of the engineering workflow.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-autonomy environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sense of ownership.
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)..

Nice to Have

• Experience working in fast-moving product companies.
• Background in strictly typed languages such as Java, .NET, or Kotlin.
• Experience collaborating closely with product and design teams during feature discovery and implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Go (Golang) in a modern product environment.
• Build features based on high-level product requirements, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Designers to clarify scope, purpose, and expected behavior.
• Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, including coding, testing, creating pull requests, and releasing features to production.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Work within fast CI/CD pipelines, where code may reach production shortly after approval.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams in a fully remote setup with a strong emphasis on autonomy and accountability.
• Identify blockers early and proactively seek clarification or support when needed.
• Contribute to technical discussions and continuously improve engineering practices and product quality.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor or similar) to enhance productivity and code quality.
