Adecco Whangārei is looking for a motivated and people-focused Recruitment Consultant to join our team. Based in the heart of Northland, you'll play a key role in connecting local businesses with great talent across a diverse range of industries.
This is an exciting opportunity to learn recruitment from the ground up while building strong relationships with Northland employers and job seekers. Whether you're looking to start your recruitment career or bring your existing customer service, sales, or business development experience into a new industry, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Recruitment Consultant, no two days are the same. You'll work closely with local clients and candidates across Whangārei and the wider Northland region, helping businesses succeed while supporting people into meaningful employment opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Sourcing, screening, interviewing, and placing candidates into suitable roles
- Building relationships with job seekers and supporting them throughout their employment journey
- Engaging with local businesses and identifying recruitment opportunities across Northland
- Conducting client visits and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
- Managing candidate compliance, onboarding, and recruitment administration
- Coordinating interviews, inductions, and workforce planning activities
- Maintaining accurate records in our CRM and recruitment systems
- Assisting with local marketing initiatives, social media engagement and talent attraction strategies
- Getting out into the community, visiting client sites and strengthening Adecco's presence throughout the region
What We're Looking For
- A confident communicator who enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life
- A positive, professional attitude and strong customer service skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer literacy and confidence using multiple systems
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities and solve problems
- Comfortable working in a sales and relationship-focused environment
- A genuine interest in supporting local businesses and helping people find work
- Existing Northland networks or strong community connections would be highly regarded
