About the role

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you'll take ownership of commercial electrical projects from planning through to completion. You'll work closely with electricians, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

This is a hands-on role where you'll combine your technical electrical knowledge with project planning, client management and team leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing commercial electrical projects from start to completion
• Coordinating electricians, subcontractors and suppliers
• Planning labour, materials and project resources
• Building strong relationships with clients and contractors
• Monitoring budgets, timelines and project performance
• Managing project variations, WIP and documentation
• Procuring materials and coordinating deliveries
• Ensuring high standards of health, safety and quality
• Solving problems and keeping projects moving

About you

We're open to candidates from a range of backgrounds.

You may already be an experienced Electrical Project Manager, or perhaps you're a Senior Electrician who naturally leads teams and is ready to take the next step into project management.

To be successful you'll ideally have:

• NZ Registered Electrician qualification (essential)
• Experience leading teams or coordinating electrical projects
• Commercial electrical industry experience
• Simpro or similar job management software experience
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Commercial awareness and problem-solving capability
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence
