Night-shift - Roading Operator

We are looking for a practical and reliable Maintenance Operator to join a supportive team working across a range of civil, infrastructure and general maintenance activities.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, is confident using tools and equipment, and can turn their hand to a variety of tasks. No two days will necessarily be the same, with opportunities to develop your skills and take on additional responsibilities over time.

About the role

You will be involved in a range of planned and reactive maintenance activities, helping to keep roads, public areas and infrastructure assets safe, clean and well maintained.

Your day-to-day work may include:

• Repairing, cleaning and replacing road and street signage
• Guardrail and wire rope maintenance
• Minor road repairs and surface maintenance
• Vegetation, garden and grounds maintenance
• Painting and general asset upkeep
• Rubbish, debris and general site clean-up
• Operating vehicles, machinery and maintenance equipment
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Carrying out general labouring and maintenance duties as required
• Completing basic records and job documentation
• Working as part of a wider maintenance team to complete daily work programmes

What we're looking for

We're interested in people with a practical, can-do attitude who aren't afraid to get stuck in.

Ideally, you'll have:

• A full, clean driver's licence
• Class 2 licence is advantageous
• Previous experience in civil construction, roading, infrastructure, grounds maintenance or a similar hands-on environment
• Confidence using hand tools, power tools and machinery
• A strong commitment to health and safety
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work outdoors and undertake physical work
• Reliability and a willingness to work as part of a team
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work Night-shifts

Relevant machinery, traffic management or other industry licences will also be viewed favourably.
