We're looking for reliable and hardworking Machine Operators to join a range of busy manufacturing and production businesses across Hawke's Bay.

About the Role

As a Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for running and monitoring production machinery to help keep operations running smoothly. You'll also assist with general production duties, quality checks, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Duties

• Operating and monitoring production machinery
• Checking product quality and production output
• Making basic machine adjustments when required
• Carrying out general labouring and manual handling tasks
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy
• Following health and safety procedures
• Completing production records and paperwork
• Assisting with other production or warehouse tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing, production, or factory environment
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Physically fit and able to complete manual work
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to workplace health and safety

Advantageous Skills

The following would be a bonus:

• Forklift licence with current OSH and F endorsement
• QA/QC experience
• Team Leader or Supervisor experience
• Experience in food production, packaging, timber, engineering, plastics, or similar manufacturing environments
• Current First Aid certificate
