Forklift Operator

We are looking for candidates who have:

Proven forklift operating experience of at least 18 months.

Experience loading and unloading trucks.

Confidence stacking and retrieving products at height.

A current OSH forklift licence is essential.

Experience in a warehouse, production, manufacturing or logistics environment.

Good understanding of workplace health and safety.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Excellent reliability and attendance.

Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including both days and nights.

Good physical fitness and the ability to work in a busy environment.

Previous machine operating or production experience would be an advantage.

Must be based in Hawkes's Bay.

You will be responsible for:

Operating a forklift safely and efficiently throughout the site.

Loading and unloading trucks.

Moving and positioning stock and materials around the warehouse/production area.

Stacking and storing products safely, including stacking at heights.

Supporting the production team when required.

Assisting with elements of machine operating and working on production lines.

Following health & safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.

Completing general warehouse and production duties as required.

Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets.

Roster & Hours

This is a 12-hour roster, working 6:00am–6:00pm on day shifts and 6:00pm–6:00am on night shifts.

Week 1: 3 × Day Shifts → 36 hours, followed by 4 days off

Week 2: 3 × Night Shifts → 36 hours, followed by 4 days off

Week 3: 2 × Day Shifts → 1 day off → 2 × Night Shifts → 48 hours

The roster then repeats.

Average: 40 hours per week over the 3-week roster cycle.
