About the role

As Clinical Nurse Manager, you will provide strong clinical leadership across the facility, supporting the nursing team to deliver safe, high-quality and person-centred care to residents.

You will play a key role in maintaining clinical standards, driving continuous quality improvement and creating a positive culture where residents, whānau and staff feel valued and supported.

You will also build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working collaboratively with GPs, allied health professionals, residents, whānau and wider health networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the nursing team, fostering a positive and collaborative culture
• Provide strong clinical leadership and promote best-practice, person-centred care
• Oversee clinical standards, documentation, care planning and quality outcomes
• Drive continuous quality improvement and support a culture of accountability and learning
• Build strong relationships with residents, whānau and internal and external stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with GPs, allied health and other healthcare professionals
• Support and mentor staff, helping to build capability and confidence across the team
• Utilise your interRAI training and experience to support effective assessment and care planning

About you

You will be a Registered Nurse with current NZ APC and previous experience in aged care, ideally with clinical leadership or senior nursing experience.

You will be someone who:

• Leads from the front and enjoys developing and supporting others
• Is passionate about delivering excellent resident-centred care
• Has strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to best practice
• Understands quality improvement and clinical governance
• Is confident building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
• Communicates well and brings a calm, collaborative approach
• Is interRAI trained
• Enjoys being part of a team and contributing to a positive workplace culture
