Class 2, 4 & 5 Civil Drivers

We are currently seeking experienced Class 2, 4 & 5 Drivers to join busy civil construction teams on a variety of infrastructure projects. These are hands-on roles suited to drivers who are willing to get involved both behind the wheel and on the ground.

About the Role

As a Civil Driver, you will be responsible for transporting materials, equipment, and machinery safely to and from project sites. When driving duties are not required, you'll be expected to support the crew with general labouring and civil construction tasks.

This is not a "sit in the truck all day" position. We're looking for team players who aren't afraid to jump out, pick up a broom, grab a shovel, and help get the job done.

What We're Looking For

• Current New Zealand Class 2, 4 or 5 Licence
• Proven driving experience with the relevant licence class
• Civil construction driving experience highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of vehicle safety and compliance requirements
• Ability to complete daily pre-start inspections
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Physically fit and willing to assist with hands-on site work
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Key Responsibilities

• Safe operation of Class 2, 4 or 5 vehicles
• Transporting civil construction materials and equipment
• Completing daily vehicle pre-start and safety checks
• Following site health and safety procedures
• Assisting crews with ground work and general labouring duties
• Maintaining clean and tidy work areas
• Working collaboratively with site supervisors and crew members

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Licence checks will be carried out during the onboarding process
• Relevant experience will be verified
• Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
• NZ Driver Licence is essential for all roles
