Casual chef/catering assistant

We are looking for chefs, cooks and catering assistants for our Client who contracts to a variety of sites throughout the Taranaki region.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven kitchen experience for South Taranaki weekend role – minimum 3 years in a professional kitchen for a large scale organisation
• Kitchen and cooking experience highly advantageous for cook/catering assistant roles
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Reliability, excellent time management, and attention to detail
• A positive attitude and team-focused approach
• Flexibility with shift times
• Qualifications: Level 3 Certificate, City & Guilds, or equivalent experience
• NZ work permit required

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing and cooking bulk pre planned menu meals to the highest standards for staff who work on site
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workstation
• Following strict food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
• Serving customers and operating eftpos machine
